Austcover’s own takes home top industry award

We are thrilled to announce our very own Authorised Representative, Lana Mawer, took home the prestigious 2020 National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA) Queensland Broker of the Year Award.

Austcover acting CEO, Adrian Humphreys was delighted to hear of Lana’s recognition saying, “At Austcover, our standard of broker is extremely high and it is wonderful to have the industry recognise this through the award of the NIBA Queensland Broker of the Year.

The award, sponsored by QBE Australia, honours an individual broker who is deemed an inspirational role model for the broking community with demonstrated excellence and integrity. It is a highly contested industry award and represents a significant achievement.

Lana accepted the accolade saying, “I feel lucky to be in an industry full of friendship, camaraderie, support, strength and resilience….where we are provided with a platform for continued development. This award strongly aligns to my personal beliefs and the importance of giving back to the industry and broader community, so it means the world to me.”

Lana has been a valued member of the Austcover team for three years and is well respected in the business community. Jeff Trims, Managing Director, Trims Transport didn’t hesitate to commend Lana saying, “Lana has provided us with a level of service that is second to none.
