Scam Alert: Austcover Private Insurance

We've recently been made aware that companies have received phone calls and text messages from people falsely claiming to be Austcover brokers offering private insurance. Numbers associated with this scam appear to point back to a company called 'Policy Market'.


We have lodged this incident with www.scamwatch.gov.au and will continue to work with the relevant authorities to control and mitigate the situation.

We're so sorry to anyone who has been targeted - we know how stressful and unsettling this can be, and we want to help you stay protected.

To keep yourself safe, please keep a few things in mind:

Don't click any links sent to you by SMS claiming to be from Austcover. We will never ask you to click a link in a text message to verify details or make a payment.

Be cautious of unexpected calls. If you receive a call from someone claiming to be with Austcover who is not your personal account manager, please don't share any personal or financial information.

Let us know. If something doesn't feel right, please report it to us straight away. We're always happy to confirm whether a call or message genuinely came from our team.
